Job Summary
Junior High Softball Coach responsible for teaching core fundamentals (throwing, catching, fielding, base running, hitting), promoting teamwork, and creating a positive, fun environment while aligning with high school program expectations. Responsibilities include skill development, player retention and growth, managing practices and game lineups, coordinating travel logistics with the Athletic Director, introducing basic game strategy and rules for junior high, and emphasizing sportsmanship, effort, and academic responsibility to prepare athletes for the high school level.
Required Qualifications
- Experience coaching or mentoring youth
- Ability to teach fundamentals and develop skills
- Collaboration with High School Head Softball Coach
- Protective equipment and safety awareness preferred
