Job Summary
Junior High Head Wrestling Coach responsible for coaching and developing middle-school wrestlers, designing drills and practice activities, observing and diagnosing player performance, enforcing safety and health regulations, scheduling events, and supervising assistant coaches. Must implement district policies, promote positive relationships with students, parents, and the community, ensure proper eligibility and parental consent documentation, manage equipment inventories, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Requires ability to plan and execute practice sessions, teach sport-specific fundamentals across developmental stages, and maintain adherence to budget and district guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Background checks clearance satisfactory to administration
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively with students, peers and adults
- Must read, analyze and interpret professional journals, board policy and forms; capable of writing reports and lesson plans
- Ability to communicate effectively with players, officials, parents, supervisors and peers
- Ability to supervise students and manage equipment and safety procedures
