Job Summary
Junior High English/Dyslexia Interventionist to teach and support dyslexia intervention across grades 5-12, with occasional duties in K-4. Responsibilities include completing Level 2 screenings, creating and monitoring individual reading plans, coordinating intervention placement within state timelines, supervising reading intervention classes (grades 7-9), supporting program fidelity checks, administering assessments (Level 2 K-4, Boy Assessment), providing dyslexia intervention as needed, and delivering district-approved instruction aligned to state standards. Requires collaboration with district dyslexia coordinator, preparation of lesson plans and materials, differentiated instruction, data-driven decisions from assessments, and effective communication with parents and staff. Must hold a valid teaching license for the assigned grades/subjects and meet Highly Qualified Teacher requirements if applicable. Strong focus on student achievement, safe classroom environment, and participation in PLCs and professional development. Pea Ridge Schools is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in appropriate major or course of study
- Valid teaching license for grade level and subject area assigned
- Meets requirements for Highly Qualified Teacher designation, if applicable to the teaching assignment
