Junior High Band Teacher/Director

Assists in administering the junior high instrumental music program and serves as Band Director; provides instruction in instrumental music, coordinates practice schedules with the High School Head Band Director, organizes performances and events (concerts, games, parades, community events), arranges transportation and lodging for band trips, maintains equipment, and plans lessons with accommodations for varied student needs. Requires strong woodwind pedagogy knowledge, ability to recruit and build a team, and effective communication with parents and administration; includes planning rehearsals, directing musical experiences for school and community, and supporting jazz ensembles, music theory, arranging, and general music courses. Bachelor’s degree and appropriate music licensure required; prior experience valued but not required; background checks mandatory.
