Junior Hardware Engineering Developer

Job Summary

Support new product introduction activities including first power-up of newly designed circuit cards, detailed design characterization, and long-term engineering support. Simulate and test circuits using LTSpice and various analysis techniques while developing new test approaches for product development. Execute engineering investigations to drive root cause and corrective action processes and advise factory technicians on testing and debugging assembled circuit cards. Perform component selection analysis for obsolescence mitigations and new developments. Work with complex circuit cards for military applications in full-rate production, interpreting schematic diagrams and bills of materials.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, from low level hardware to OS applications
  • Strong knowledge of electronic circuit design
  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills
  • Innovative self-starter with excellent teamwork skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret schematic diagrams, drawings, parts lists, bills of materials
  • Ability to interpret and verify requirements
  • Good understanding of circuit simulation and associated limitations
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize and schedule tasks to meet project goals, and work in a time-critical environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance
  • You must be eligible to work in Canada
