Job Summary
Conduct groundwater monitoring, exploration, sampling, and aquifer testing while supporting field logistics and equipment preparation. Assist with data collection, compilation, and basic interpretation of hydrogeological data to contribute to conceptual site models and technical reports. Prepare regulatory submissions and client deliverables, maintaining accurate field notes and tracking project progress. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams under senior staff guidance, adhering to safety protocols and industry best practices. Spend approximately 60% of time in the office and 40% in the field across varying locations, including remote sites, with occasional travel and varying shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in hydrogeology with previous internship or one to two years of experience in a hydrogeological related industry
- Eligibility for membership in a relevant professional organization
- Valid Class 5 Drivers license
- Must be able to meet the requirements of site access as dictated by our clients, this may include pre-access drug, alcohol and fitness testing
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with relevant provincial and federal legislation and familiarity with the environmental assessment process
- Understanding of the oil & gas and oil sands industry
- Understanding of groundwater exploration and aquifer evaluation methods
