Job Summary
Junior Pet Stylist in Grooming — learn essential grooming tasks including bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning under supervision of experienced groomers. Develop skills through a ten-week training program, perform limited grooming services, ensure animal safety, provide excellent customer service to pet parents, and maintain a clean, sanitary grooming area. Strong emphasis on compassion for animals, effective communication with pet parents and grooming team, and adherence to Petco policies; weekend/evening/holiday availability expected. Training progression from on-the-job learning to performing grooming tasks while meeting weekly productivity goals.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 year animal-related experience preferred or shelter volunteering/pet sitting; High-school diploma or GED preferred though not required
