Junior Grants Operations Coordinator

Job Summary
Conduct peer review management, application screening, and committee preparation for PSI Foundation's grants operations. Identify qualified reviewers, manage outreach and records, and respond to applicant inquiries regarding eligibility. Assist with Grants Committee logistics, including reviewer assignments, meeting materials, and evaluation reviews. Attend committee meetings to record funding decisions and discussion notes, then enter decisions and track required documentation. Maintain accurate records in grants management systems and support continuous improvement of workflows. Provide administrative and communications support to the Grants Coordinator and broader team.
Required Qualifications

- Post-secondary diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in grant administration, research administration, or a related operational role, preferably in a nonprofit environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Comfort working with online systems (Asana), databases, grants management systems, digital workflows, or comfortability learning and applying new software systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, applicants, reviewers, committee members, and other stakeholders
- Ability to take direction, work independently, problem-solve, and organize work effectively under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality of applicant information, reviewer evaluations, committee discussions, and funding decisions
- Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week
- Hybrid role, primarily remote, with the expectation to work in office one (1) day every two (2) weeks in Toronto, Ontario
- Some travel will be required for in-person meetings and events within the GTA and other potential special events within Ontario
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with biomedical research and/or nonprofit grant funding agencies will be considered an asset
