Junior Geotechnical Engineer

Job Summary
Support geotechnical investigations through planning, field coordination, and interpretation of site and laboratory data. Perform basic geotechnical analyses for foundations, earthworks, slopes, and excavation support under supervision. Prepare design calculations, technical reports, and documentation in accordance with relevant codes and client requirements. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to project delivery within schedule and budget constraints using industry-standard software. Ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance of outputs with internal QA/QC standards and company procedures. Uphold company values, ethics, and professional standards in all aspects of work.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or related field
- Strong understanding of soil and rock mechanics principles
- Ability to perform geotechnical analyses (e.g., foundations, settlement, slope stability, retaining structures)
- Demonstrated ability to work within project schedules and budgets in a team environment
- Uphold SJ Group values, ethics, and code of conduct
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in geotechnical consulting or infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, rail, buildings, tunnels, or marine works)
- Exposure to site investigations, laboratory testing coordination, and construction support activities
- Utilize industry-standard geotechnical software to support analysis and design tasks
