Job Summary
As a Junior Game Artist, you will transform creative concepts into visual game assets and immersive environments, guiding assets from initial concept sketches through final polishing for development. You will collaboratively brainstorm and drive creative improvements, own project timelines and file management, contribute to design critiques, and craft assets that enhance player engagement. Core duties include high-poly/low-poly modeling, texture painting, UVW mapping, and shading to realize characters and environments, with proficiency in 3ds Max and Photoshop, strong English communication, and experience with real-time asset pipelines. Nice-to-have skills include Motion Design (After Effects), Blender/Substance/ZBrush, Unreal Engine, AI-assisted workflows, and prior iGaming experience. The role offers an indefinite employment contract and accompanies benefits such as a gym membership and healthcare. The position is based in Medellín, Colombia, and performed in-person.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of hands-on professional experience creating game assets
- Deep understanding of real-time asset rendering pipelines (high-to-low poly baking, PBR material creation, unwrapping, and texture painting)
- Proficiency in Autodesk 3ds Max and Adobe Photoshop
- B2 or higher English proficiency (verbal and written)
- Experience with offline renderers (Corona or similar)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proven ability to juggle multiple projects without losing your creative edge
