Junior Financial Accountant

Job Summary
Oversee daily financial activities and reporting for all Pools Funds, including portfolio valuations, custody, and general ledger activities. Prepare financial statements, MRFPs, top 25 holdings, and fund facts while supporting the Manager of Investment Reporting during year-end audits. Execute journal entries and reconciliations, review marketing communications for data integrity, and manage tax reporting requirements. Communicate regularly with the Pool's recordkeeper and trustee, assist with compliance processes, and perform ad-hoc analysis as needed. Requires a Commerce or Business Administration degree with 1–3 years of accounting experience.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related discipline
- 1 – 3 years' experience in an accounting role
- Intermediate-level accounting education
- Advanced organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced working knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work in a changing environment
