Job Summary
Junior Fabricator in Vaughan, ON area; hands-on role assisting with fabrication and assembly of automation equipment for the building materials industry. Responsibilities include fabricating and assembling door frames, slabs, and components; installing hinges, locks, weather stripping, and hardware; applying seals and finishing materials; following work orders, shop drawings, measurements; measuring and cutting materials (wood, steel, aluminum, or composite); operating hand tools and basic shop equipment; inspecting products for defects and ensuring fit and finish; maintaining a clean, safe workstation; supporting senior fabricators and production flow; packaging finished products for shipping or installation; and general shop duties such as material handling and maintaining tools and cleanliness. Requires a college diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline as an asset, a strong work ethic, willingness to learn fabrication skills, comfort with hand tools, ability to lift 40–60 lbs and stand long periods, good attention to detail, and experience in manufacturing, carpentry, construction, or trades.
