Job Summary
As a Junior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing preliminary estimates and assisting with cost reports, including take-offs on light fixtures and power devices, setting up projects in Accubid, and performing technical assessments. Essential skills include data entry in Accubid, verifying architectural drawings, and supporting estimators with pricing schedules. Candidates are required to have a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably one year of estimating experience. A commitment to a 2-year Electrical Trades Class and maintaining excellent attendance are necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year experience in estimating preferred
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Commitment to a 2-year Electrical Trades Class with passing grade
- Must maintain a 98% attendance and on-time record
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Accubid & LiveCount preferred
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, & Bluebeam
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required
- Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite
