Job Summary
Prepare and submit Requests for Tender (RFT) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) responses within required timeframes, developing detailed first-principles cost estimates and reviewing contract documentation to identify project risks. Draft tender qualifications, present submissions at review meetings, and collaborate with Sales, Business Development, and operational teams to prioritize workloads and support business objectives. Build strong relationships with existing clients while managing tender pipelines and customer portals to forecast and win new business. Based in Hume, ACT, this role requires a foundational understanding of estimating and strong analytical skills to contribute to the ongoing growth of the business.
Required Qualifications
- A foundational understanding of estimating, preferably within a relevant industry environment
- Strong mathematical and analytical capability, with experience preparing first-principles estimates
- Excellent organisational, planning, and time-management skills
- The ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- A strategic mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a personable, collaborative working style
