Job Summary
Junior Estimator responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for ship repair projects, collaborating with the Commercial team, engineers, and clients to manage financial aspects; duties include preparing detailed estimates (labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor services), analyzing project specifications and drawings, gathering data from historical sources, supplier quotes, and market trends, validating estimates with project managers and procurement, preparing and presenting estimation reports, and monitoring estimates throughout the project lifecycle while assisting in identifying financial risks.
Required Qualifications
- MTS Diploma in ‘werktuigbouwkunde’ or a related field
- Knowledge of ship repair processes and terminology is an advantage but not require
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
