Job Summary
Conduct Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments and remediations to CSA and O.Reg. 153/04 Standards. Execute sampling and reporting for Excess Soils projects (O.Reg. 406/19) and perform fieldwork for Hydrogeological Assessments, including infiltration testing, pumping tests, and groundwater sampling. Deliver fieldwork and reporting for major infrastructure projects across the province. Travel and work nights or weekends occasionally in challenging outdoor conditions. Requires 1-2 years of experience in environmental consulting, proficiency in relevant Ontario regulations and CSA guidelines, and a valid driver's license. Salary range varies based on qualifications and location.
Required Qualifications
- University or college education in environmental science, geology, engineering, biology, or a related field
- 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in environmental consulting
- Proven proficiency in Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments
- Proven proficiency in hydrogeological assessments
- Proven proficiency in excess soils projects
- Technical knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153/04
- Technical knowledge of Ontario Regulation 406/19
- Technical knowledge of Canadian Standards Association (CSA) guidelines
- Demonstrated competency in fieldwork execution
- Demonstrated competency in sampling protocols
- Demonstrated competency in soil/groundwater assessment techniques
- Excellent technical report writing skills
- Note-taking skills
- Documentation skills
- Attention to regulatory compliance
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel
