Junior Engineer - Supply Chain Distribution

Job Summary
Analyze operational data and support engineering projects to improve processes, deploy automation solutions, and optimize labor standards across multi-client distribution centers. Assist with layout optimization, capacity planning, and root cause analysis for service failures while ensuring solutions meet customer SLAs. Analyze KPIs such as on-time delivery and productivity to develop customer-facing scorecards and dashboards. Support configuration and testing of WMS, TMS, and related logistics systems, collaborating with IT and Operations teams to troubleshoot issues. Participate in client meetings and new client onboarding initiatives to drive data-driven discussions. This role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least one year of distribution experience, with a hybrid schedule of four days on-site and one day remote.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Systems, Mechanical), Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be comfortable working in both a corporate office environment and on site at distribution centers
- Must be available for four days per week on-site (Monday–Thursday)
- Must be available for Friday remote work
- Regular in-office presence is important to support collaboration, problem-solving, and cross-functional alignment
Desired Qualifications
- Ideal Candidate would have at least 1 year experience in a fast-paced distribution environment
- Internship, co-op, or entry-level experience in a 3PL, distribution, or transportation environment
- Familiarity with multi-client operations and customer-specific SLAs
- Exposure to Power BI or similar tools
- Working knowledge of WMS and ERP systems platforms (e.g., Manhattan, SAP)
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices
