Job Summary
Conduct field investigations, site inspections, and sampling programs for water, wastewater, and environmental projects across municipal, industrial, and Indigenous communities. Coordinate sample handling, document data collection, and compile laboratory results into technical reports and project documentation. Provide regulatory compliance reviews, assist with permitting activities, and prepare proposals and cost estimates for clients in Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba. Work with engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies while adhering to health, safety, and quality standards. Requires a diploma or degree in engineering, 0–5 years of relevant experience, and EIT or P.Eng registration. Annual salary ranges from $55,000 to $70,000. Based in Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, or Kenora.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
- 0–5 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting, municipal infrastructure, engineering, or a related field
- Registered as, or eligible to register as, an EIT or P.Eng.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Willingness to travel throughout Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba, including rural, remote, and Indigenous communities, and conduct field work in various weather and site conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with water, wastewater, stormwater, or environmental compliance projects
- Experience with field sampling, inspections, data collection, or technical reporting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, GIS, Civil 3D, or related software
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
