Job Summary
Junior Geotechnical Engineer at AECOM in Changsha, China. Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment under moderate supervision, gathering and correlating basic engineering data using established procedures, and working on routine engineering tasks involving calculations and relatively simple tests. Applies knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical design principles; utilizes geotechnical software (e.g., Plaxis 2D/3D, Slope W) to support design and analysis; identifies discrepancies and contributes to solving problems; provides guidance to entry level engineers and supports project budgets and schedules. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or related field, at least 1 year of relevant geotechnical experience, and strong analytical and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
- 1+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering
- Knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical design principles
- Proficiency in geotechnical software, such as Plaxis 2D/3D, Slope W, etc.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
