Job Summary
Perform engineering analysis of Foreign Military Sales country requirements and vet equipment releases per the Security Assistance Management Manual. Analyze contract technical deliverables for adequacy, including system design documents and training materials, while assessing configuration management for assigned equipment. Develop Acquisition Requirements Packages for government review and advise Source Selection Evaluation Boards on technical evaluations. Conduct market research, participate in witnessing test events, and prepare documents such as Justification and Approvals and engineering change proposals. Brief organizations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. Travel up to 10%, including OCONUS. This Junior Engineer role supports C5ISR systems like Combat Net Radio and sensors for international partners through the Defense and Security Assistance program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering technical discipline
- 2 - 5+ years of Engineering experience
- Strong communication skills
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
- Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level
- US Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting the U.S. Army, Department of Defense (DoD)
- Familiarity with a wide variety of military equipment
- Experience with technical writing and training
- Organizational skills with an ability to balance attention to detail with strategic thinking
- An inquisitive mindset — someone who loves to ask the right questions and solve complex problems
