Job Summary
Maintain and update CAD drawings for standard cutting tool products while reviewing customer order requests to ensure accuracy. Create new drawings for special cutting tools by researching previous similar orders and calculate quoted prices for special inquiries. Collaborate with senior engineers to aid in the development and continuous improvement of procedures, while retrieving historical and traceability information for new and previous requests. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and mathematical concepts including geometry and trigonometry.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree in engineering
- Currently enrolled in a 2-year engineering program
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal or external customers
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as the fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
