Job Summary
Conduct installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical wiring, conduits, outlets, switches, and fixtures across residential and commercial projects. Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide installation and troubleshooting. Safely handle hand and power tools, voltage testers, and multi-meters while adhering to OSHA standards and local electrical codes. Collaborate with supervisors and other trades to ensure seamless system integration, identify hazards, and maintain accurate work records. Participate in site inspections, quality checks, and material preparation. Requires 1–3 years of hands-on experience, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel to multiple job sites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial electrical installations
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, NEC (National Electrical Code), and local building codes
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Proficiency in using common electrical tools and test equipment (e.g., multi meters, conduit benders)
- Commitment to safety, with a proven track record of adhering to safety procedures
- Physical stamina to work in varying weather and elevated or confined spaces
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment
- Willingness to travel to multiple job sites within the region
