Job Summary
Junior Electrical Safety Engineer at CERN to support the HSE-OHS-GI group in updating electrical safety rules, drafting and consolidating safety documentation, and performing risk assessments and conformity reviews. Responsibilities include reviewing existing electrical safety documents, drafting procedures and conformity requirements, developing standardized document structures with traceability and revision control, and supporting safety risk assessment, equipment integrity, audits, and technical reviews. Requirements emphasize strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering, experience drafting or reviewing engineering documentation, familiarity with IEC/EN standards, ability to interpret technical information, teamwork in a multi-disciplinary environment, and English or French language skills with a willingness to learn the other.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- By the application deadline, max two years of professional experience since graduation
- Never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract
- Eligible nationality: CERN Member or Associate Member State
- Experience drafting or reviewing technical documentation
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and safety concepts
- Familiarity with IEC/EN standards and their interpretation
- Ability to work in international, multi-disciplinary teams
- Spoken and written English or French, with willingness to learn the other language
