Job Summary
Assist with the design of electrical building services systems across commercial, residential, healthcare, education, industrial, and mixed-use projects. Produce electrical drawings, schematics, and BIM models using AutoCAD and Revit while carrying out engineering calculations for load assessments, cable sizing, voltage drop, and lighting. Support the design of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, data, renewable energy, and EV charging systems by coordinating with mechanical engineers, architects, and multidisciplinary design teams. Attend project meetings and site visits to support inspections and resolve technical issues. Assist in preparing technical specifications, reports, and tender documentation while learning industry standards, regulations, and sustainable design principles.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Services Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
- Graduate experience in electrical design or building services (placements and internships welcomed)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit MEP and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and building services design
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Dialux, Relux, Amtech, Trimble ProDesign, ETAP or similar design software
- Exposure to BIM workflows and Revit MEP
