Job Summary
Junior Desktop Support Technician providing entry-level IT support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and standard business applications. Focuses on Level 1 desktop support, device imaging/deployment, and end-user assistance with escalation to senior technicians as needed. Responsibilities include first-level end-user support, on-site/desk-side assistance, device imaging and deployment, hardware/software installation and updates, antivirus/patching under guidance, imaging/reimaging and deployment readiness, and strict adherence to IT policies, security standards, and documented procedures. Maintains accurate ticketing and asset records, supports asset management, and ensures professional, courteous service while following defined processes and SLAs. Preferred qualifications include 0–2 years of IT support experience and IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+). Onsite work at client locations may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with common desktop applications (Microsoft 365, web browsers, printers)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
- Good communication skills with a customer-service mindset
- Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and support processes
