Job Summary
Implement and maintain smooth operation and physical design of databases while conducting performance tuning of indexes. Review database design and integration, provide backup recovery, and formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management. Administer a variety of database systems, develop stored procedures, and oversee scheduling of backups, notifications, and replication between multiple SQL Servers. Assist in the development of SQL and Web-based databases, create high-level reporting systems, and audit data modifications using SQL commands. This role supports the Defense Intelligence Agency's Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III project.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
- BS, 5-7 years of relevant experience; MS, 3-5 years; PhD, 0-2 years
- One or more of the following DoD 8570 certifications: ComTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) – foundational RMF exposure
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must comply with any vaccination requirements mandated by contract, applicable law or regulation

- Must be subject to investigations performed by TekSynap and/or the Government to verify the candidate meets the required qualifications and other eligibility requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen (security clearance requirement)
Desired Qualifications
- Microsoft SQL Server Database Certification (e.g., Azure Database Administrator Associate – DP-300)
- MySQL Database Administrator Certification
- AWS Certified Database – Specialty
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate
