Job Summary
As a Junior Database Administrator, you will be integrated into Crossjoin Solutions' Academy and trained to install, configure, upgrade, maintain and administer open-source databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, etc.), ensure high availability, backups, replication, and disaster recovery, monitor performance and tune queries, apply security patches, manage access and data protection, automate routine tasks, document environments/procedures, evaluate improvements for reliability, scalability and cost; the role emphasizes intense training, development plans, and a pathway to join projects across a diverse client base in banking, insurance, healthcare and more.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- No prior professional experience required
- Strong problem-solving and ability to work under pressure
- High level of autonomy and sense of responsibility
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills
