Junior Data Scientist - Dubai, UAE

Junior Data Scientist on Cobblestone Energy's Commercial team responsible for data preparation, forecasting and modeling, strategy research, building data pipelines and dashboards, and enabling AI-accelerated workflows. Responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and structuring large datasets from market, fundamental, and operational sources; developing and validating predictive models (e.g., wind generation, demand) to support trading strategies; prototyping and back-testing data-driven trading ideas; collaborating with analytics and development teams to productionize solutions; building and maintaining data tooling, pipelines, and automation; applying AI techniques (LLMs, agents, RAG, multimodal models) to accelerate exploratory data analysis and data cleaning; maintaining documentation of methodologies and data definitions; and collaborating with traders, risk managers, and software engineers to integrate insights into real-time decision-making. Required background includes a degree in CS/Math/Stats, strong Python and R skills, experience with Pandas/NumPy/SQL, data visualization with Matplotlib/Seaborn, integrating LLMs via APIs or LangChain, and ability to design automated workflows. Fluency in English and a proactive, team-oriented mindset are expected.
