Job Summary
Develop pricing and predictive models for insurance products like MTPL and CASCO by preparing, cleaning, and validating data for statistical and machine learning tasks. Support senior Data Scientists in model development, testing, and performance monitoring while participating in A/B test analysis to generate actionable recommendations. Produce analysis results, visualizations, and summaries for business teams, and monitor model outputs to identify improvement areas. Explore new analytical methods and tools alongside the Baltic Business Analytics team to deepen expertise in risk modeling and analytics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or final-year studies in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field
- Basic knowledge of Python and SQL
- Understanding of statistics, data analysis, and machine learning fundamentals
- Experience working with data through university projects, internships, personal projects, or previous work experience
- Basic understanding of data cleaning, data preparation, feature engineering, and predictive modeling
- Native Latvian language skills
- Good English communication skills for collaboration across the Baltics
- Analytical mindset, curiosity, and willingness to learn and explore new approaches
- Ability to explain findings and analytical results in a clear and understandable way
- On-site work on weekdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility to adjust working hours within a one-hour range
