Job Summary

Support data management activities including receipt, transfer, loading, validation, quality assurance, cleanup, organization, and governance of geophysical and subsurface data files. Monitor intake and output workflows through the Geophysical Data Network, client systems, and approved Katalyst tools while performing operational procedures, executing scripts, and conducting basic quality checks. Identify, record, and escalate errors, inconsistencies, and technical concerns to the project team. Maintain accurate time tracking, update control systems and documentation, and communicate with client personnel and operational staff to support project delivery. Follow information security and data governance standards. Full-time role with standard Monday through Friday hours, eligible for location-based benefits, with work performed remotely, at office, or on client sites.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in data management, geophysical or subsurface data support, data loading, data transfer, technical operations, or a related analytical environment
  • Basic knowledge of Linux commands used to browse, query, and copy files
  • Basic knowledge of Python or another programming language
  • Basic knowledge of file integrity checking and related quality control concepts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic proficiency in English
  • Ability to identify routine problems, document findings, cross-reference information, and escalate issues appropriately
  • Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain professionalism in a client-focused environment
  • Knowledge of key Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures accurately
  • Collaborative mindset with a strong team orientation and willingness to support shared project goals
  • Strategic thinking and analytical capacity to review, compare, and connect information from multiple sources
  • Working knowledge of data transfer concepts, file organization, and data loading processes, with a willingness to learn Katalyst and client-specific systems
  • Basic understanding of subsurface data types, including seismic, non-seismic, well data, related documents, and associated file formats
  • Must be available for occasional evening or weekend work to support project or client needs
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Desired Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in data management, geoscience, information technology, databases, or a related field preferred
