Job Summary
Integrate new data sources and ensure seamless data flow across the organization by implementing and managing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes. Assist in developing new features within data warehouses while monitoring database performance and troubleshooting issues to maintain efficiency. Ensure data accuracy and security through regular auditing and validation, documenting technical designs to facilitate knowledge sharing. Collaborate with engineers and analysts to manage identity resolution and downstream integrations, aligning data ingestion with business objectives. This role supports scalable data warehouse solutions within U.S. Soccer's growing product team, reporting to the Vice President of Engineering.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years experience with cloud-based BI and data solutions
- Proven experience operating production pipelines
- Strong foundation in Python and SQL
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Strong experience delivering reliable data sets for BI, analytics, and data science—with real ownership of data quality, testing, and documentation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with relational and dimensional data models
- Must be a self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly
- General knowledge of soccer
- Must be able to connect 'micro' details to the 'macro' vision and mission
- Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
Desired Qualifications
- AWS preferred
- Experience utilizing Prefect for data orchestration
- Experience managing data warehouses in AWS Redshift
- A background in, and passion for, soccer, sports and/or entertainment is preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce data structure and concepts
- Ability to handle multiple projects, tasks, and priorities
- Collaborative, team-player with a results-driven mindset
- Must be able to connect 'micro' details to the 'macro' vision and mission
