Job Summary
Develop ETL/ELT pipelines and data models for payment and product flows into a SQL Data Warehouse using Python and SQL. Gather requirements with payment and product teams to harmonize sources, build clear dashboards, and implement data validation tests. Automate processing with scripts while ensuring idempotent pipelines for reliable reporting on customer LTV and target CPAs. Join the first hire of a newly built data department reporting to the CEO, working closely with the Head of Data in a hybrid or remote European setting.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience
- Hands-on data projects (personal, academic, or internships) demonstrating very solid SQL and Python and strong data engineering fundamentals
- Appetite for a startup environment where everything is still to be built
- Big plus if you have already worked with online payment data and APIs
- Solid SQL
- Solid Python
- Git and Unix commands
- Data modeling fundamentals: fact/dimension tables, right granularity
- Warehouse maintenance fundamentals: full vs incremental loads, merge/upsert, re-runnable/idempotent pipelines
- AI native: proficient with AI coding tools to move fast (Claude Code preferred, Cursor/Copilot ok)
- Curiosity: you ask the right questions
- Autonomy, for a junior profile
- Comfortable engaging with business teams (payment, product) to gather and challenge their needs
- English: fluent (working language)
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license
- Bachelor's degree
