Junior Curator
$50,000–$60,000 year
RemoteCanada
Job Summary
Build galleries and collections from client briefs, Sales requests, and marketing campaigns, working to the specs and timelines each one needs. Manage the team queue, track active and due items, and share coverage so clients always have someone to turn to. Learn the Stocksy collection well enough to match a brief on the first pass, then follow the intake, review, and delivery process while flagging bottlenecks. Spot patterns across requests, recurring client needs, and collection gaps to bring insights back to the team. Join the Curation Services team at Stocksy, an artist-led co-operative where artists own the company, to develop a real eye for visual content and grow into more as the collection and client base expand.
Required Qualifications
- Some experience with photo editing, curation, gallery or collection building, or a similar visual content role
- A portfolio, a collection you've built, or some other example of your judgment we can actually look at
- Comfortable running a queue of requests with different deadlines and specs while keeping quality high
- A genuine, obsessive interest in visual content, and something to show for it, a personal project, a following, a body of work
- Comfort with CRM or project management tools, or a willingness to learn them fast
- Reliable and clear - you say what you'll do and you do it
- Location: Remote, preference for those located in Pacific time zone
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Role type: Full-time permanent employee (within Canada), full-time permanent independent contractor (outside of Canada)
Desired Qualifications
- You've got a genuinely strong eye for visual content
- You can look at a set of images and tell quickly which one actually works, even before you can fully explain why
- You want to build a real career in curation
- You're organized enough to manage a steady flow of work without losing quality
- You follow through on what you say you'll do
