Job Summary
Junior Cost Estimator needed to support conceptual and detailed construction cost estimates for civic/public infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include performing quantity takeoffs, supporting cost assessments, documenting estimate bases from clients/designers/engineers, researching market trends and pricing for labor and materials, ensuring estimates are clear and defensible, and coordinating with project teams in meetings. Candidates should have 2+ years of cost estimating experience (construction management/engineering preferred), proficiency with Excel and Bluebeam or similar takeoff software, and a Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience). Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in cost estimating, ideally in construction management and/or engineering
- Exposure to projects in the civic, public, or infrastructure sectors is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam (or similar takeoff software)
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on industry experience
- Strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and solid communication skills
