Junior Controller / Senior Staff Accountant

Job Summary

Lead the migration of financial data from QuickBooks to NetSuite, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of historical records throughout the implementation process. Review and reconcile approximately two years of accrual-based financial records, prepare journal entries, and maintain the general ledger. Perform account reconciliations, support month-end through year-end close processes, and analyze financial statements to investigate discrepancies. Collaborate with finance leadership, IT personnel, and ERP partners to improve accounting procedures and workflows. This project-based assignment offers strong potential for transition into a permanent leadership role within a growing, financially stable organization. Training and support will be provided for the NetSuite implementation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience using QuickBooks
  • Strong understanding of accrual-basis accounting
  • Experience performing complex account reconciliations and maintaining a general ledger
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience participating in an ERP implementation or accounting software conversion
  • Exposure to NetSuite (training will be provided if needed)
  • CPA or active pursuit of CPA designation
  • Experience within a mid-sized or large corporate accounting environment
