Job Summary

Prepare hard copy records for scanning by removing staples and reassembling physical files, then scan hard-copy files to electronic images. Burn project CDs, file mail, retrieve and return files to shelves, and box records for shipment while verifying dates for transfer eligibility. Conduct page-by-page reviews of files to identify and mark records for further review by classification staff, inventorying records, and destroying records with appropriate data entry. Perform analytical records management functions, including researching documents based on business rules and security policies before inventorying them. Utilize Microsoft applications to track, monitor, and develop stats/reports for assigned tasks, and access Federal Agency applications such as Content Manager, Sentinel, HR Source, DIVS, and CATS to perform records management functions effectively.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year of work experience
  • Active DOD Top-Secret Clearance
  • Eligibility for CI Poly
  • Ability to independently perform assigned records management functions
  • Ability to responsibly learn, access, research and utilize application(s) and database(s), including but not limited to, Content Manager, Sentinel, HR Source, DIVS, and CATS
  • Ability to perform research and analysis on documents based on established business rules and security policies
  • Competency in organizing and maintaining files, records, database/recordkeeping systems, and preparing routine, non-complex documents
  • Capability to perform quantitative and qualitative type work measured in final product and/or production
  • Capability to draft various documents and correspondence
  • Basic proficiency in receiving/sending communications via telephone, e-mail, and other communication systems
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft applications, including Excel and Word, to track, monitor, and develop stats/reports
  • Ability to understand and follow policy guidelines for assigned tasks
  • Experience performing support related services
  • Experience in an office environment
  • Proficiency in the use of information technology applications, telecommunications, or security systems
  • Competency in general clerical principals, practices, and techniques
  • Capability to wear and tolerate personal protective equipment (e.g., rubber gloves, surgical face masks, etc.) for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders to access shelving and files
  • Capability of lifting to 50 pounds
