Junior Collision Estimator / Body Shop Helper

Job Summary
Write complete estimates and supplements in accordance with company and insurance guidelines, taking clear photos of vehicle damage and documenting repair progress. Coordinate parts orders, verify availability, and track backorders while communicating delays to estimators and technicians. Assign labor to technicians and painters, conduct daily meetings with front office staff, and perform quality control checks prior to vehicle delivery. Educate customers on the collision repair process, insurance claims, and timelines before delivering completed vehicles. This role combines estimating and parts coordination responsibilities, providing a strong foundation for advancement into a Full Collision Estimator or Body Shop Parts role at Bell Ford Collision Center in Phoenix.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust, chemicals, noise, and fumes
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities
- Team-oriented mindset
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Desired Qualifications
- Automotive knowledge or mechanical aptitude
- 1+ year of collision repair or body shop experience
- Familiarity with insurance claims processes
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience with CCC ONE and/or Reynolds & Reynolds
