Job Summary
Junior CNC Milling Operator needed to support Prototype Engineering team at Picatinny Arsenal. Responsibilities include inserting raw materials into mill vises, running pre-programmed sequences on CNC control panels under supervision, removing burrs and sharp edges, performing in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers, and optical comparator, inspecting parts for defects, staging raw stock with pallet jacks/hoists/forklifts, maintaining traceability of materials, loading cutting tools into tool holders, maintaining CNC machines and workspace, and entering inspection data (e.g., JobBOSS). Requires ability to read blueprints and basic GD&T, and strong teamwork with Engineers and Technicians; high school diploma required; US citizenship; ability to obtain DoD clearance; 1–3 years milling experience; ability to pass drug/alcohol testing; physically able to lift/move heavy objects; military personnel encouraged. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma is required
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance
- 1–3 years experience operating CNC milling machinery
- Pass drug and alcohol testing
- Must have good mechanical skills and be able to multitask and prioritize
- Experience interpreting blueprints and basic GD&T
- Basic PC skills (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must be able to lift and move heavy objects
- Team-oriented and able to communicate effectively with Engineers and Technicians
- Past or present military personnel are encouraged to apply
- College degree not required but beneficial
