Job Summary
Junior CNC Machinist responsible for operating CNC mills and/or lathes, loading/unloading parts, performing basic startups and shutdowns, conducting in-process inspections with calipers, micrometers, and gauges, identifying and reporting quality issues, making basic offset adjustments, assisting with tool changes and machine setup under supervision, following work instructions/blueprints/shop docs, maintaining a clean 5S work area, and adhering to safety policies; requires 0–2 years CNC/manufacturing experience, high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read blueprints, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and a willingness to learn CNC programming and advanced machining skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0–2 years CNC or manufacturing experience
- Technical school or machining coursework preferred but not required
- Basic understanding of CNC machining concepts
- Ability to read basic blueprints and use measuring tools
- Willingness to learn CNC programming, setup, and advanced machining skills
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
