Job Summary
Junior Civil Drafter to support the preparation and development of civil engineering drawings and design documentation for mining and industrial projects. Work with engineers and project teams to produce accurate drawings, including site plans, grading, and drainage, while ensuring drawing accuracy and standards compliance. Role involves Civil 3D drafting, coordination with multiple disciplines, and exposure to civil infrastructure projects. Requires a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (or related field) and 0–2 years of drafting experience (co-op or internship considered). Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, basic civil engineering concepts (grading, drainage, site development), and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills, effective communication, and ability to work in a team environment. Interest in mining, construction, or industrial projects is an asset. Field exposure through co-op or summer work and experience with 3D/ surface modeling in Civil 3D are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field
- 0–2 years of drafting experience (co-op or internship experience considered)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Basic understanding of civil engineering concepts such as grading, drainage, and site development
