Job Summary
Junior Camp Counsellor to support planning, implementation and delivery of Camp programs at CDI's 6-week summer day camp operating at the St. Clair Gardens site. Role involves supporting the delivery of Camp programs, assisting with specialized therapeutic programming using the SNAP CBT model, and acting as a positive role model for children and youth. Requires SNAP training and graduate status, Standard First Aid and CPR, and a current police record check with broad sector screening. Key skills include leadership, coaching, planning, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration; experience in a therapeutic or therapeutic recreational setting is an asset. Travel to other community sites may be required; flexible hours as needed. Compensation is $17.60/hour. Start date June 22, 2026; end date July 31, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Must be trained on SNAP strategies and experience in behaviour management
- Must be a SNAP graduate
- Standard First Aid and CPR
- Must have a current and valid police record check with broad sector screening
- Credential verifications & References required
