Job Summary
Create and modify CNC programs for vertical machining centers using GibbsCAM, interpret engineering drawings, and develop setup documentation. Support production activities by assisting with machining strategy development, troubleshooting programming issues, and editing existing production programs. Participate in continuous improvement projects and maintain programming documentation while developing advanced machining strategies and multi-axis programming skills. Work alongside experienced programmers and machinists to produce efficient, repeatable manufacturing processes in our Hillsboro, Oregon facility.
Required Qualifications
- CNC machining experience
- CAM programming experience
- Manufacturing Technology education
- Mechanical Engineering Technology education
- Tool & Die background
- CNC setup experience
- Apprenticeship in machining
- Equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with one or more of the following: Create and modify CNC programs utilizing GibbsCAM
- Experience with one or more of the following: Program vertical 3-axis machining centers
- Experience with one or more of the following: Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
- Experience with one or more of the following: Develop setup documentation
- Experience with one or more of the following: Assist with machining strategy development
- Experience with one or more of the following: Support production during program prove-out
- Experience with one or more of the following: Troubleshoot programming issues with machinists
- Experience with one or more of the following: Edit existing production programs
- Experience with one or more of the following: Assist with tooling selection
- Experience with one or more of the following: Participate in continuous improvement projects
- Experience with one or more of the following: Maintain programming documentation

- Experience with GibbsCAM
- Experience with Mastercam
- Experience with Fusion 360
- Experience with SolidWorks
- Blueprint reading and GD&T
- CNC machining operations and vertical machining centers
- Basic tooling selection
