Job Summary
Manage cash book processing, process stock GRNs, and support inventory control to maintain stock accuracy. Handle daily invoicing, prepare costing for imports, and process supplier invoices with month-end reconciliations. Submit evidence of importation to banks, prepare monthly debtor statements, and process credit card transactions at month end. Maintain depreciation records, conduct credit checks, and arrange transport for local and foreign sales. Follow up on outstanding debtor payments and prepare month-end reports. This junior role requires strong Excel skills and a completed 3-year diploma, with on-site work in Cape Town from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30.
Required Qualifications
- Strong Excel skills
- Completed 3-year diploma
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work as an all-rounder in a small company environment
- Comfortable multitasking and supporting various duties across the business
- Ideally a first or second-year post-college candidate with strong academic results
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and strong work ethic
- Independent, proactive and able to work without a high level of supervision
- Confident personality with the ability to take ownership and adapt quickly
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits, credits, expenses and general accounting concepts
- Must be comfortable working on Excel
- Must be confident, bubbly, hands-on and willing to ask questions
- Must be comfortable working in a small, close-knit team
- Must be willing to assist across different areas where needed
