Junior Beam Test Bench Engineer (all genders)

Job Summary
Run experiments and analyze data on electron beam test benches; ensure stable and reliable operation of tes t benches; design, set up, and evaluate experiments; develop and improve measurement recipes and data analysis tools; drive continuous improvement of methods and components; communicate results and insights to stakeholders and management; collaborate in cross-functional teams in an international R&D environment; strong emphasis on physics, data analysis, and hands-on experimental work; fluent English with German being a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Physics
- Experience in designing, setting up, and conducting experiments
- Strong data analysis skills and confidence working with complex datasets
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to work independently and in a structured way
- Solid problem-solving skills and a strong analytical way of thinking
- Ability to critically evaluate results and draw meaningful conclusions
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in a simple way
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate in cross-functional environments
- Very good command of English, German language skills are a plus
- Programming skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar)
- Basic understanding of electronics are a plus
- Experience with vacuum systems or particle beam technologies are an advantage
