Junior Aviation Contracts & Certification Advisor

Job Summary

Review aviation contracts, lease-related documents, policy wordings, and client documentation to support operational and transactional requirements while identifying key contractual requirements. Prepare certificates of insurance and related supporting documentation with high accuracy, and support the review and negotiation of contractual and insurance provisions on behalf of clients, including airlines, aerospace businesses, and leasing companies. Liaise with clients, counterparties, brokers, insurers, lessors, external counsel, and other stakeholders on contractual and certification matters. Develop strong technical knowledge of aviation insurance coverages, policy wordings, and certification processes through day-to-day mentoring. Work collaboratively and independently within the London office, adhering to FCA, Marsh Compliance, and internal procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly on insurance and contractual matters
  • A genuine enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills
  • A proactive approach to learning, training and developing technical knowledge in aviation contracts and certification
  • Excellent attention to detail when reviewing contractual materials and preparing certification documents
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong prioritisation, time management and organisational skills
  • The ability to work both collaboratively and independently while developing technical knowledge of aviation insurance products, operators and contractual structures
  • An understanding of the importance of working within FCA, Marsh Compliance and internal Marsh procedures and guidelines
  • A commitment to delivering best practice and high-quality client service
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret and compare contractual wording
  • An understanding of aviation insurance coverages, aviation clients' businesses, contractual risk issues and insurance market practice
  • A law degree, legal studies background, paralegal experience, or insurance contract administration experience, ideally within aviation, insurance or asset finance
  • An understanding of aviation certification and/or experience handling contractual or compliance documentation
  • All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week
