Job Summary
Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate certifications and perform repairs outlined on Multi-point Inspection and Repair Orders with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnoses to non-mechanical staff and customers, recommending necessary services while documenting all recommendations in customer files. Adhere to MAP guidelines, dealership, and manufacturer standards, maintaining ASE certifications and reporting safety concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager. Follow all safety procedures regarding hazardous materials and physical demands including standing, bending, and lifting. Requires valid driver's license, ASE experience preferred, and ability to work Monday through Saturday.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Possess current, valid driver's license
- Ability to work Monday - Saturday
- Must be able to stand up to eight hours per day in the shop
- Must be able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day
- Must have full range of motion with arms and hands
- Must be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently
- Must be able to hear and speak
- Must have vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training
