Job Summary
Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate certifications and perform repairs outlined on Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Orders with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnoses to non-mechanical individuals, including customers and store managers, while recommending necessary services to keep vehicles running. Properly document all recommendations in customer files and follow safety procedures by reporting concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager. Maintain ASE certifications and renewals as required. Work five days including Saturdays, standing for eight hours daily, lifting up to 70 pounds frequently, and communicating with shop personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training
- Possess valid driver's license or obtain a valid driver's license within 30 days of hire date
- Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays
- Ability to pass an MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) screening and background check
- Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
