Job Summary
Support entity management initiatives by defining, modeling, and maintaining master data entities across the firm. Assist in gathering, cleaning, standardizing, and deduplicating data to create trusted golden records, while executing records matching and merging workflows based on established logic. Collaborate with stakeholders to document domain definitions, business rules, and data lineage, and implement routine data quality checks to ensure accuracy. Help create documentation for master data assets and integrate processes with Snowflake data models. Provide general support for ad-hoc analysis and data profiling. This 16-week temporary role requires 40 hours per week and is located in a hybrid setting at StepStone.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative or qualitative field
- 0–2 years of experience or relevant coursework in data analysis, data stewardship, or operations
- Foundational SQL skills with the ability to perform basic data profiling and querying
- Basic understanding of data modeling, data integration, or ETL/ELT concepts
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical engineering teams and business stakeholders
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply
- This role requires the incumbent to be able to work 40 hours per week

Desired Qualifications

- Prior internship or coursework experience in data governance or data stewardship
- Familiarity with data quality monitoring concepts
