Job Summary
Junior Acquisition Analyst to support DoD programs (ACAT II-IV, OTAs/MTAs, and Abbreviated Acquisition Programs). Responsibilities include developing DoD Acquisition Documentation, assisting in acquisition and contracting strategies (including TEMP and SEMP), developing statements of work, conducting market research, and ensuring programs comply with DoD/DoW and NAVSEA policies. Collaborates with military, civilian, and contracted personnel in a matrixed environment; requires a self-starter attitude and ability to work with minimal guidance. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years in DoD acquisition/program management, knowledge of government contracting types and acquisition processes, and U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with AI platforms and DoD reporting tools (e.g., WAWF, SPS, COR TOOL, CPAR). Location: Alexandria, VA (on-site).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience relevant experience in DoD Acquisition Programs with knowledge of the FAR, DFAR, DoD 5000 requirements, DoD contracting processes
- Minimum of 2 years of Program/Project Management experience / 2+ years of DoD Program Office experience
- Familiar with Gov’t contract types (i.e. FFP, CPFF, CPIF, IDIQ, BPAs, etc.) and acquisition strategies (i.e. Full & Open, Small Business Set Aside etc.)
- Experience coordinating with warfare center technical teams
- Experience working on a team supporting acquisition and contracting professionals, as well as technical SMEs
- Knowledge in managing cost, schedule, performance, and risk on DoD ACAT programs
- Experience reporting through various DoD or DoN contracting reporting tools such as: WAWF, SPS, COR TOOL, CPAR System
- Experience converting technical requirements into executable and logical frameworks and statements of work
- Knowledge of the DoD PPBE processes
- Ability to manage and adapt to often complex and changing program priorities
- Possession of excellent customer responsiveness, adaptability, and flexibility skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; includes PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Word
- Experience in working with AI platforms
- Operationally relevant Navy or Joint Warfighter experience
- Experience in drafting Acquisition documents through the JCIDs process and understanding Milestones A through C
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledgeable in use of dashboards; specifically, Power BI
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Secret clearance
