Job Summary
Grow your accounting career in a Junior Accountant role within KPMG New Zealand’s Private Enterprise team. You’ll collaborate to support privately-owned NZ businesses in meeting their goals, assist with preparing annual accounts and tax returns (and monthly management work) including data entry and drafting accounts, respond to client queries, and use professional accounting software. You’ll gain hands-on experience while you study toward becoming a Chartered Accountant, balancing work with part-time study and leveraging opportunities for professional development and career advancement within the firm.
Required Qualifications
- A recent high school graduate or first-year student pursuing Accounting at a university or CAANZ CA Fundamentals pathway
- Plans to obtain Chartered Accountant (CA) professional qualification upon completion of studies
- Interest in working with small to medium-sized firms in New Zealand
- Willingness to study while working and balance with job responsibilities
